This planter has the quiet confidence of something that's been sitting on a shelf for decades without anyone thinking to move it. Because why would you.
Hand-wrought brass in a tapered rectangular form on bracket feet, with an applied vine-and-leaf motif set with red and green cabochon stones. The metalwork has the slightly irregular quality of handmade craft — no two leaves are identical, and the vine meanders with just enough imperfection to feel alive rather than manufactured.
Sourced at a flea in Atlanta, this piece is Chinese in origin and carries a warm, unpolished patina that tells you exactly how long it's been in someone's collection. The brass has mellowed into a muted olive-gold that pairs well with dark wood, leather, and linen — everything a good desk or shelf already has.
Use it as a planter for succulents, a catchall for mail and keys, or a display piece on its own. The stones add color without competing, and the footed base gives it just enough lift to feel intentional wherever you place it.
